The Young Leaders of Faith (YLF) is the high school youth group at St. Helena's Church. More than that, YLF is an association of teens who gather to live out our faith while serving our parish and community and interacting with other like-minded teenagers. Our club activities include community service projects, hosting events for the parish, group discussions and games, and running the 8th Grade Confirmation Retreat.
YLF welcomes any and all high school teenagers who are looking for a way to get more involved in their parish community, find friends who share the same faith, and strengthen their relationship with God. Additionally, many of the youth group's community events and activities count towards volunteering hours.
Some of YLF's many events include:
- 8th Grade Confirmation Retreat
- Living Stations of the Cross
- Participation in the Robert-Wood Johnson Christmas Party for Children with AIDS
- Bake Sales, Pancake Breakfasts, and other parish events
Meetings are held every other Sunday at 1PM in the school auditorium. Feel free to drop by at any youth group meeting or event, which are always posted in the bulletin.
For more information on how to join, email YLF at shpyouthgroup@hotmail.com or contact Youth Director Mike Tonzola at 732-668-2403. Also, add Ylf Shp on facebook!
