Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." [Catechism of the Catholic Church - 1213]

Baptisms take place on any Sunday at 1:30 PM.

Arrangements must be made in advance. Sponsors must be practicing Catholics. If sponsors are from another parish, they are to obtain a note or letter from their parish priest indicating that they are practicing Catholics. Please contact the rectory for further information.

Saturday Afternoon: 3:30-4:30 PM

ACT OF CONTRITION

O my God, I am heartly sorry for having offended You and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell; but most of all because they offend You, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. (Mt. XIX;6)

Arrangements should be made at least one year in advance. Please call the rectory at (732) 494-3399 for further details.
