From Our Pastor

Our heavenly father sent his only son to die on the cross for us so that we may share in everlasting life. He invites us to share in the sacrament of reconciliation; and regardless of how badly we treat him, our Lord, in his infinite love and compassion, waits to welcome us with open arms. He quickly forgets the hurt he felt when we turned away from him.

Our Lord calls a big celebration when those who are lost to sin return to him and seek his forgiveness. We only need to be sorry and to ask for forgiveness. Likewise, if we want to receive the Lord's forgiveness we must be willing to forgive those who wrong us.

We only have a couple of weeks left in Lent to spiritually prepare for Easter Sunday. I invite you to take time to reconcile with God and with our brothers and sisters so that when we approach the altar, we truly make our gift worthy for the heavenly father.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Father Anthony Sirianni
